Biochemical training and evaluation

Develop rigorous scientific tasks that help language models reason about life science. Assignments draw on advanced understanding of protein folding, enzyme kinetics, metabolic pathways, and related biochemical questions.

• Identify reasoning errors such as faulty stoichiometry, incorrect stereochemistry, or misuse of enzyme kinetics.

Required expertise

You must have completed a PhD, or be in its final stages, in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline. Strong foundations in at least one of structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics are required.

You should explain complex chemical and biological concepts precisely in organized writing. The work requires exceptional care with equations, diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental procedures, as well as confidence working independently in an asynchronous environment.

Helpful background

Previous AI experience is unnecessary. Annotation, data quality assessment, and evaluation processes are useful backgrounds, together with computational tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.

Scientific writing, peer review, and curriculum development experience are also welcome.

Contract arrangement

The hourly contract is fully remote with flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours weekly. Work provides direct exposure to the training and assessment of advanced language models while retaining the scientific depth of specialist research.

Strong contributors may be considered for extensions or new project matches.
