Biology Expert Phd

Biology expertise for AI research

Evaluate how AI handles biological concepts, experimental design and scientific problem solving through flexible hourly contract assignments. This is project work that can sit alongside research, teaching, a postdoctoral position or employment in industry.

The opportunity focuses on the assessment of AI content rather than a conventional laboratory, academic or full time industry appointment. Your advanced biological training informs both the questions developed for research and the feedback given on model answers.

What you will contribute

• Develop demanding questions grounded in biology and relevant professional experience.
• Review AI responses for factual correctness, logical consistency and the quality of their scientific reasoning.
• Assess how the responses address experimental methods and technical biological problems.
• Provide feedback that helps research teams improve AI understanding of the subject.

Qualifications

A completed biology doctorate qualifies, including for candidates currently in or finished with postdoctoral work. An MS combined with industry experience is an alternative qualification route.

A strong command of advanced biology is needed, along with experience in experimental methodology, interpreting data and reasoning scientifically. Previous AI work or technical experience is not required.

Compensation and availability

Project rates can reach $125 per hour. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, with flexible timing and no minimum number of hours to commit.

During active assignments, contributors commonly spend approximately 5 to 20 hours per week on the work. Placement is determined by current research needs, and contributors may also be considered for later projects when those opportunities become available.

Participation process

The starting steps are account registration and identity confirmation. Contributors then complete onboarding for relevant projects before undertaking paid work.
