Advanced chemistry data

Develop and review training datasets that represent the depth and structure of chemistry. Work includes advanced questions, specialized concepts, diagrams, experimental data, and scientific material across many levels of difficulty.

• Label and classify technical chemistry content accurately.
• Connect principles across organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and theoretical chemistry.
• Critically assess model answers to advanced questions and research problems.
• Identify errors and provide detailed feedback that explains needed corrections.
• Design and curate datasets spanning chemistry specialties and varying complexity.

Required expertise

A doctorate in Chemistry or a closely related field is required, supported by demonstrated research, teaching, or advanced problem-solving ability. You should have created or critically reviewed sophisticated scientific, technical, or educational work.

Examples include research publications, curriculum development, and complex laboratory protocols. You need to explain advanced chemical ideas clearly and connect abstract theory with practical applications.

Prior data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training and model evaluation experience is helpful.

Contract arrangement

The hourly, at-will contract is fully remote and asynchronous, with a minimum of 15 hours weekly. US-based contributors are preferred, and the US rate ranges from $25 to $100 per hour.

Projects are staffed on a rolling basis. The work offers clearly defined responsibilities and autonomy, while consistently strong contributors may lead programs or mentor other specialists.

Selection

An English-language AI screening covers your professional background. A chemistry interview then assesses advanced principles, analysis of complex processes, and the application of theory to real scenarios.
