Program leadership

Lead the daily delivery of AI training data, human data and model evaluation programs. Coordinate a large pool of domain experts, translate research inputs into practical instructions and improve the consistency, quality and throughput of completed work.

This is a full time commitment of 40 hours per week, with reliable weekday availability required. The role involves hands-on program coordination and close work with research, product and operations partners.

Responsibilities

• Onboard experts, run calls and weekly reviews, and keep contributors working toward deadlines and quality standards.
• Translate research and leadership direction into clear guidelines and task instructions that connect program goals with expert output.
• Track deliverables, throughput and quality metrics in Sheets or Excel, and communicate program status clearly to stakeholders.
• Review submissions and quality trends, investigate the causes of recurring issues and provide specific written feedback to improve results.
• Identify risks and blockers early, propose fixes and follow them through to resolution with the relevant partners.
• Coordinate with research, product and other subject experts to keep training data accurate and consistent.

Required background

Experience as an expert program manager, program lead or team lead on AI training data, human data or model evaluation projects is required. Relevant experience may come from an AI data program or an internal AI data operations team at a large technology business.

• At least three years leading or coordinating large contributor or expert groups against deadlines and quality standards.
• Demonstrable career progression, such as advancement from contributor to reviewer, team lead and program lead or expert program manager.
• Availability for at least 40 hours per week during weekdays.
• Strong written communication and the ability to explain complex guidelines and quality decisions clearly.

Preferred experience

A STEM degree, advanced Sheets or Excel skills, working SQL knowledge and some coding experience are preferred. Experience managing large contributor or expert groups and prior participation in this AI data program are also valued.

Employment arrangement

This is a W-2 position through an employer-of-record partner, with the opportunity to work within an AI lab's extended workforce. The employment partner handles payroll, benefits and employment administration while specialists work within client teams.
