What the work involves

• Examine, evaluate, and annotate financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness, providing insights based on established accounting standards.
• Evaluate and critique audit procedures, identifying gaps, best practices, and regulatory considerations for diverse business scenarios.
• Develop and assess financial models, ensuring logical structure, accuracy, and actionable insights.
• Examine and provide feedback on tax compliance practices and documentation, highlighting risks and compliance issues.
• Examine a variety of legal and financial documents, offering detailed feedback on clarity, correctness, and alignment with regulations.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback in writing and speech on project materials, ensuring effective communication with cross-functional teams.
• Help with the development and evaluation of data sets for AI training, applying your prior experience with human data processes such as data labeling, annotation, or model evaluation.

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate-level accounting experience with a track record of handling complex financial scenarios.
• A strong working command of financial reporting, audit procedures, financial modeling, tax compliance, and legal document review.
• A demonstrated background in providing actionable feedback and communicating findings effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Prior participation in human data projects such as data labeling, annotation, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), or model evaluation.
• Keen analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Adaptability and a growth mindset, with a passion for applying accounting knowledge in innovative contexts.
• Profile as a strong and reliable accounting professional who thrives in independent and collaborative project engagements.
