Required expertise

You must hold a master's-level or doctoral degree in Biology or a closely related area, such as Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Bioinformatics. Deep knowledge in at least one of genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics is required.

You should be comfortable using Python or R for research or analysis and communicate science clearly in writing and conversation. A careful, methodical approach is essential, and candidates must be based in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand.

Helpful background

Prior AI experience is unnecessary. Annotation, data quality review, scientific writing, peer review, publishing, computational biology tools, research pipelines, and educational or assessment problem design are useful backgrounds.

Terms

The hourly contract is fully remote with flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours weekly. New projects may offer continued work or an extension.
