Associate Recruiter (San Francisco based)

Recruiting ownership

Source candidates, build pipelines and guide the recruitment process from initial contact through onboarding. This full time role is primarily remote, with a San Francisco base and regular participation in local career fairs and industry events every one to two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Find and engage candidates through headhunting, networking and digital channels.
• Manage the recruitment pipeline and maintain a consistent candidate experience.
• Advise hiring managers and stakeholders on talent strategy.
• Keep applicant tracking records accurate and report recruitment metrics and progress.
• Manage priorities and deliverables independently while working remotely.
• Represent the hiring team at San Francisco events to meet candidates and build employer visibility.
• Adjust sourcing approaches as startup hiring needs change.

Required background

Two to three years of proven recruitment and headhunting experience is required, preferably in startup or technology environments. You should understand sourcing, pipeline management and talent acquisition practices, and know the San Francisco talent market and local channels well.

Strong organization, stakeholder communication and relationship building are important. The role also requires adaptability to changing priorities and a commitment to attending local events in person.

Preferred experience

Experience recruiting for rapidly growing startups is helpful, as is an established network in the San Francisco technology community. Familiarity with modern applicant tracking systems and recruiting analytics is also preferred.
