Qualifications

A master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related area is required, including Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or an equivalent subject. You need strong knowledge of at least one core area: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics.

Comfort coding in Python or R for research or analysis is essential. Fluent English, precise scientific writing, and a methodical approach to accuracy are also required; AI experience is unnecessary.

Helpful background

Annotation, data quality review, and AI evaluation experience are welcome. Computational biology, large biological datasets, scientific writing, peer review, publishing, and work combining experimental and computational methods are useful backgrounds.

Arrangement

The hourly contract is fully remote with flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours per week. Assignments may lead to continued work or an extension as new research projects begin.
