Required expertise

A master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field is required. You need deep knowledge in at least one of climate modeling, ecology, environmental sustainability, or earth systems science.

Proficiency in Python or R for research or analysis is essential. Fluent English, precise written explanations, close attention to detail, and dependable independent work are also required.

Helpful background

Annotation, data quality assessment, and AI training workflows are useful experience. Scientific writing, peer review, curriculum development, and communicating environmental science to colleagues across disciplines are also relevant.

Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation is welcome.

Contract arrangement

This remote hourly contract involves 10 to 40 hours weekly with flexible scheduling. Work is organized around scientific assignments, with possible continued projects or extension.
