Listen closely to AI narration

You'll review audiobooks narrated by text to speech systems in Italian, helping identify where synthetic voices lose their natural sound. Regular audiobook listening matters here: you'll combine a listener's sense of enjoyment with careful analysis of the narration.

The work is remote and part time, at about 20 hours each week or roughly 4 hours a day. You may live anywhere, with a preference for regions where Italian is spoken natively.

What you'll review

• Judge whether Italian narration sounds natural, reads accurately and makes the book enjoyable to hear.
• Note omitted, inserted or mispronounced words, incorrectly spoken numbers, mistaken abbreviation expansions, awkward phrasing or intonation, and audio artifacts or glitches.
• Assign an issue category and identify its precise audio span in the review tools.
• Explain the overall listening experience, including passages that flow well and moments that interrupt it.
• Sustain careful, consistent review through extended amounts of audio.

Experience and availability

• Speak Italian at native or near native level and listen to audiobooks regularly, with a clear sense of what makes narration work.
• Communicate and write reports in working English; full bilingual proficiency is unnecessary.
• Have some background in annotation, labelling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics or similarly detailed review.
• Listen patiently and maintain accuracy through lengthy sessions.
• Be consistently available for approximately 20 hours of part time work per week.

Previous AI training data, model evaluation or audio quality annotation work is helpful. Experience in language, editing, voice work or audio production is also welcome.
