Conversational voice sessions

Contribute speech that sounds like ordinary conversation, whether you are reading supplied words or speaking without a script. The recordings may be used to create synthesized AI voices for conversational products.

• Attend two live sessions, each approximately four hours, with a session director providing guidance through a separate recording service.
• Read scripted material faithfully in an everyday tone, avoiding a polished commercial or announcer style.
• Speak spontaneously about assigned topics while keeping warmth and pacing consistent with the scripted recordings.
• Prepare and manage your own recording space and equipment.
• Record entirely in the required language and dialect, without switching to another language or dialect during delivery.

Required experience and equipment

You need native or equivalent fluency in the specified language and dialect, plus experience in voice acting, acting, theatre or a comparable performance discipline. Be comfortable directing your own audition and responding to live coaching during selected recording sessions.

A quiet space without background noise or echo is essential and must be acoustically treated for the recording sessions if selected. A dedicated professional microphone must be owned or acquired for the audition, with examples including a RODE NT-USB Mini or Blue Yeti.

Selected contributors need a qualifying USB condenser microphone or an XLR microphone with an audio interface, upgrading if necessary. Laptop microphones, AirPods, earbuds and headsets are not accepted at any stage; closed back monitoring headphones are required for the selected sessions.

Helpful additional experience

Conversational voice work in dubbing, ADR, audiobooks or podcasts is useful, along with an existing treated home recording setup. Familiarity with microphone distance and detecting noise, clipping or distortion is preferred, rather than required.

Recording consent

Before paid session recording starts, review and sign the consent form describing collection, use, approved partner sharing and retention of the recordings, including AI voice model training. It also explains applicable rights such as access, correction and deletion; the terms can be requested for review before applying.
