Required background

A master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field is required. You need substantial expertise in climate modeling, ecology, environmental sustainability, or earth systems science.

Proficiency in Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling is essential. Candidates must write scientific explanations clearly, speak English fluently, and be based in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand.

Helpful experience

Previous AI work is not necessary. Experience with annotation, evaluation systems, environmental policy, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, or computational modeling is useful.

Technical writing, peer-reviewed research, educational content, and familiarity with AI tools or language models are also relevant.

Arrangement

This fully remote hourly contract provides flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours weekly. The work involves scientific assignments with AI research teams and may lead to continued work or contract extension as projects open.
