Accounting and finance review

Evaluate generated financial material against the standards used in actual US accounting work. The role suits experienced CPAs, staff or senior accountants, controllers, and professionals with equivalent practical experience.

• Check US GAAP explanations for technical validity and completeness.
• Assess content on SEC reporting, preparing financial statements, and regulatory compliance.
• Review DCFs, valuations, and Excel financial models for correct calculations and practical application.
• Identify misstatements, faulty guidance, and missing information in accounting analyses.
• Explain corrections through detailed, structured feedback.
• Create and review example scenarios, journal entries, and accounting workflows for training data.

Required expertise

Strong practical knowledge of US GAAP and financial workflows is essential. You should be familiar with financial statement preparation, closing the books at month end, and managing the general ledger.

The work also requires comfort with DCFs, comparable company analysis, and Excel models. Careful technical review, a methodical approach, and precise explanations of complex accounting concepts are important; previous AI or technology experience is unnecessary.

Additional qualifications

An active CPA license or comparable credential is useful. Other relevant backgrounds include public company accounting, 10-K, 10-Q, or 8-K reporting, and audit, tax, or advisory work at a public accounting firm.

Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero is welcome. Advanced Excel, VBA, FP&A, IFRS, and accounting across jurisdictions are further advantages.

Contract scope

This project-based contract is fully remote, with flexible asynchronous scheduling and 10 to 40 hours per week. Assignments involve independent work alongside AI research efforts, and new finance projects may provide continued work or an extension.
