Research work

You'll help AI research reflect professional practice in renewable generation analysis, forecasts and REC markets. Your contribution combines evaluation of AI content with independent analytical assignments drawn from familiar industry workflows.

• Assess AI material using practical knowledge of the field and explain where it does not reflect real work.
• Produce expert analytical deliverables and data in the structured format specified for each project.
• Complete professional assignments independently; the stated examples include price forecasting models and PPA documentation.

Experience and tools

The work requires at least two years of professional experience in renewable generation, forecasting or environmental markets. Relevant role histories include Renewable Generation Performance Analyst, Renewable Asset Forecasting Analyst or REC / Environmental Markets Analyst, or equivalent work in the sector.

Practical experience with at least one of these tools is needed: WREGIS or AVEVA PI.

A bachelor's degree or higher is required. The work also requires independent execution of renewable generation forecasts and performance reporting, including forecast production and the verification and retirement of Renewable Energy Certificates.

Write clearly, check details carefully and manage tasks without close supervision. Collaboration and delivery take place asynchronously, so independent execution is an important part of the role.

Contract terms

Hourly compensation may reach $80, depending on the particular project. This is an ongoing set of project-based contracts, not a conventional employment opening.

All work is remote, part time and flexibly scheduled. No minimum weekly commitment applies; participants with an active assignment commonly contribute about 5–20 hours per week, alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work or industry employment.

Placement is tied to current project demand, with possible consideration for future assignments as needs change. Participation begins with registration, identity verification and onboarding into a relevant project before work and earnings start.
