Systems code evaluation

Review and challenge AI-generated Rust so models reason more accurately about low-level programming constraints. Create demanding tasks as well as assessing code and its technical reasoning.

• Check correctness, idiomatic ownership, and safe memory behavior in generated solutions.
• Design systems programming problems that expose limits in model understanding.
• Inspect concurrent code for race conditions and unsafe patterns.
• Evaluate optimization proposals and explain where the underlying reasoning fails.
• Maintain rigorous, type-safe deliverables and give organized feedback on improvements.

Required experience

At least five years of professional production Rust experience is required, with a strong emphasis on concurrency and memory safety. You must understand ownership, lifetimes, type guarantees, systems programming, and performance optimization in depth.

Your education should include at least a bachelor's in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline. The work also requires a careful, systematic approach and clear written explanations of complex low-level concepts.

Useful background

Distributed systems, operating systems, and developer tools are relevant areas of experience. Knowledge of unsafe Rust and its tradeoffs, compiler design, embedded development, high-performance computing, or previous AI code assessment would be useful.

Contract arrangement

The work is a fully remote hourly contract with a 10 to 40 hour weekly commitment. Assignments are independent and asynchronous, allowing you to organize your own schedule.

Training and onboarding support are provided. Continued assignments or an extension may become available as further projects launch with AI researchers and engineering teams.
