Biology Specialist (Masters/PhDs)

Scientific evaluation

Create and assess difficult biology problems to strengthen AI reasoning in the life sciences. Assignments require scientific depth and precision, with practical relevance to fields such as genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.

• Write challenging problem statements, solve them, and review the resulting scientific work.
• Assess model explanations for correctness, depth, and clarity.
• Work asynchronously with AI researchers and other specialists to improve model performance.
• Maintain rigorous standards across all deliverables while managing independent assignments.

Graduate expertise

A master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related discipline is required. Relevant fields include Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, and Biotechnology, with substantial expertise in at least one of genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics.

You should be comfortable using Python or R for research or analysis. Fluent English, precise scientific writing, a methodical approach, and dependable independent work are essential; prior AI experience is unnecessary.

Useful experience

Annotation, data quality review, or AI training experience is helpful. Academic research, publishing, laboratory work, computational biology, biostatistics, or reviewing and grading advanced scientific work are also relevant backgrounds.

Engagement

This hourly contract is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling for 10 to 40 hours per week. It provides scientific assignments with AI research teams and scope for continued work or contract extension when new projects become available.
