Description
Rust engineering and review
Assess generated Rust code while building systems that support AI evaluation. The focus is expert-level correctness, safe memory handling, concurrency, and efficient execution.
- Check model-written code for defects, unsafe behavior, and performance problems.
- Build and optimize Rust systems for evaluation workloads.
- Develop backend services and tools that validate large datasets and check their quality.
- Trace bottlenecks, unusual inputs, and system failure conditions, then implement fixes that can scale.
- Provide organized technical feedback across systems programming tasks.
Requirements
You need at least five years writing Rust professionally in production, particularly in memory safety and concurrency. Strong systems programming and optimization skills are essential, along with the ability to detect subtle bugs and designs that waste resources.
A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical subject is required. You should be fluent in English, explain low-level concepts precisely, and deliver consistently while working independently.
Useful experience
Distributed architecture, developer tooling, AI code generation, and evaluation processes are relevant. Embedded systems, operating systems, compiler work, technical writing, code review, or mentoring experience would also help.
Working arrangement
The hourly contract is fully remote, asynchronous, and flexible, with 10 to 40 hours per week. Independent assignments contribute to research on AI systems coding, with possible ongoing work or an extension as further projects open.
