Senior Flight Operations Expert

The work

Help train AI with the operational judgment of an experienced pilot or dispatcher. This remote contract project for an aviation client centers on reviewing flight documents and explaining decisions clearly; previous AI work is unnecessary.

• Examine instrument approach plates, operational manuals, flight plans, weather information and NOTAMs.
• Brief procedures as a captain or dispatcher would, explaining operational concerns and the reasoning behind them.
• Check planning materials for correctness, readability and compliance with Part 121, Part 135 and ICAO rules.
• Identify hazards or unclear wording in approaches, supporting documents and regulatory references.
• Provide concise spoken and written briefings, and give project coordinators prompt feedback remotely.

Preferred experience and skills

• Preferred background includes a current or recent ATPL or Commercial Pilot License and at least five years as a pilot or dispatcher.
• Confidence briefing instrument approaches, interpreting flight documents and working with relevant operational regulations.
• Analytical judgment that turns risk assessments into clear explanations and potential solutions.
• Precise written and spoken communication, careful document review and the ability to work independently.
• Experience in airline or corporate flight operations is particularly valuable.

Working arrangements

The engagement is open globally and involves approximately 10 hours per week. Choose your working days and hours, including weekends if useful.
