Chemistry training work

Help develop chemistry datasets for AI research by combining scientific expertise with careful content review. Work covers questions, concepts, diagrams, experiments, and a range of difficulty levels.

• Verify model answers, identify scientific errors, and explain corrections through useful feedback.

Scientific background

You need substantial chemistry expertise gained through research, teaching, or advanced problem solving. Experience creating or assessing complex scientific, educational, or technical material is expected, such as laboratory research, curricula, or scientific publications.

You should be able to explain difficult chemistry ideas clearly and relate theoretical concepts to practical situations. Prior data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training experience is an advantage.

Contract terms

This is an hourly, at-will contractor engagement that is fully remote and asynchronous, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. US-based contributors are preferred, and the US pay range is $25 to $100 per hour.

Starts are arranged on a rolling basis as projects open. Contributors have defined responsibilities and scheduling autonomy, while consistently strong performers may lead new programs or mentor other specialists.

Selection

The process includes an English-language conversation with an AI interviewer about your background, followed by a chemistry assessment. The domain interview examines foundational principles, analysis of complex processes, and application of theory to practical scenarios.

Candidates are reviewed as opportunities arise and contacted when their experience fits an active project.
