Record authentic conversational speech

You'll contribute natural English with an authentic England accent recordings to an AI speech research project. The focus is the rhythm, nuance and delivery of real conversation, helping researchers improve how AI understands the way people actually speak.

• Record in a professional studio, using your authentic accent rather than an exaggerated imitation.
• Perform individual speech recordings and two-person dialogue sessions.
• Deliver conversation that feels spontaneous and human, rather than a formal narrated read.
• Respond to light direction by adjusting tone, pacing and delivery for different scenarios.

Voice experience

You should be a professional voice actor or voice-over artist with relevant recording experience and native or near-native command of English with an authentic England accent. Candidates must currently be based in England and able to attend studio sessions in person.

Comfort with conversational performance is essential, along with reliability, professionalism and a receptive approach to direction. Working English is also needed for communication and session coordination.

Helpful additional experience includes acting, theatre or other performance work, broadcast experience, podcast production, professional studio recording, character or dialogue voice work. These are advantages alongside the core voice and accent requirements.

Sessions and contract

The paid contract involves two to three sessions lasting approximately four hours each. Recordings take place in a professional studio, giving the engagement a defined, limited time commitment.

Your natural accent and delivery will contribute directly to the speech research.
