Description
Test electrical engineering reasoning
Develop difficult problems that reveal how AI handles circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing and electromagnetics. Technical accuracy, engineering safety and sound assumptions guide the review.
Engineering responsibilities
- Write advanced challenges and precise reference solutions with explicit reasoning steps.
- Audit generated code, circuit diagrams and mathematical proofs for correctness and safety.
- Assess adherence to relevant standards, including IEEE and the NEC.
- Identify faulty assumptions or logical errors and provide structured corrections.
- Probe embedded systems, controls, VLSI and simulation tasks to expose additional failure modes.
Required background
You must be pursuing or hold a master's or PhD in electrical engineering, electronic engineering or a closely related field. Strong knowledge in one or more areas such as VLSI, control systems, telecommunications or power electronics is required.
You need concise written English for explaining technical concepts, plus precision with equations, circuit logic and documentation. Independent asynchronous working habits are important.
No prior AI or machine learning experience is required. Annotation, technical writing, quality evaluation, engineering simulation or hardware description language experience is helpful.
Contract terms
This is a fully remote hourly contract for ten to 40 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible around existing commitments, with exposure to how language models are trained and evaluated.
Ongoing work or an extension may be possible based on performance. Experience reviewing or writing documentation to professional standards is a useful addition to the required engineering background.
