Engineer the data collection operation

Take responsibility for the software and infrastructure supporting a large scale robot data collection effort. The scope covers the collection system, tools used by operators, the data pipeline and fleet infrastructure.

This is a senior engineering position, not a daily teleoperation assignment. A dedicated operator team performs that work under your direction, while you build the systems they depend on and remain accountable for the resulting data.

Areas of ownership

• Develop the engineering systems used to carry out data collection.
• Own the tooling that supports the operator team and its work.
• Take responsibility for the data pipeline and fleet infrastructure.
• Direct the operator team while keeping your own focus on engineering and the quality of the output.

Contract and working hours

Compensation is $105 per hour. The arrangement is a full time W2 contract lasting 12 months, with an extension possible rather than guaranteed.

The role is fully onsite in Santa Clara, California. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the requested start is as soon as possible.
