Clinical documentation evaluation

Practicing MDs contribute outpatient judgment to medical AI documentation and decision support tools. The work involves reviewing, annotating and assessing records to improve clinical accuracy, safety and usefulness.

Review and annotation responsibilities

• Assess clinical notes, encounter summaries and EHR records for sound clinical content, accuracy and completeness.
• Compare AI generated notes and summaries with documentation an actively practicing primary care physician would produce.
• Label outpatient encounter data according to detailed annotation instructions.
• Identify missing information, invented content, clinical mistakes and other documentation deficiencies.
• Give engineering and product colleagues structured written feedback they can implement.
• Advise on documentation standards, annotation rules and definitions for unusual cases.
• Ask for clarification when instructions are uncertain and help improve the guidance.

Required clinical background

• Hold an MD and have at least 2 years of experience after residency.
• Be currently practicing in primary care, family medicine or general internal medicine.
• Be based in the United States.
• Have direct experience writing outpatient clinical notes.
• In addition to English, have advanced proficiency at C1 or above in speaking, listening and writing in at least one of these languages: Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Chinese (Cantonese), Tagalog, Russian, Haitian Creole, Korean, Arabic, Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Turkish, Italian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Finnish, French, Danish, Catalan, Hungarian, Czech, German, Bulgarian, Indonesian or Dutch.
• Be available for at least 10 hours each week.

Preferred experience and terms

At least 5 years since residency, familiarity with Epic and strong previous performance in AI/ML annotation or model evaluation are preferred. Documentation experience in another language is also valued. Clinical documentation quality checks, note audits or clinical documentation improvement (CDI) exposure are helpful.

This is remote, part time work with flexible scheduling designed to fit an active clinical practice. The minimum commitment is 10 hours per week.
