Day-to-day

• Install and pair a variety of smart home devices, including cameras, thermostats, lighting systems, and security sensors
• Configure home networks and Wi-Fi extenders to optimize device connectivity and system reliability
• Update firmware, manage device settings, and facilitate integrations across multiple platforms such as Alexa and the team Home
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity or operational issues related to smart home ecosystems
• Guide clients through smart home interfaces, ensuring they are empowered and comfortable managing their devices
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in device placement, cable management, and overall installation aesthetics
• Utilize field service applications to document work, report issues, and complete service logs efficiently

You bring

• Demonstrated proficiency with mobile apps for device management and field service operations
• Solid understanding of home networking concepts (IP addresses, SSIDs, routers, Wi-Fi extenders)
• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting a range of IoT devices and smart home technology
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, especially regarding software updates and connectivity glitches
• Superb verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex concepts for non-technical users
• High attention to detail, especially in physical installations and cable management for an aesthetically pleasing result

Bonus

• Experience providing remote support or guidance for smart home installations
• Familiarity with the latest smart home platforms and voice assistant technologies
• Certifications in networking or smart home systems are a plus
