Day-to-day

• Execute comprehensive video editing projects
• From raw footage organization to polished final export
• Using OpenShot or Shotcut
• Showcase your real workflow, including asset management, sequencing, pacing, and creative problem resolution, while being recorded for AI training purposes
• Collaborate with the team to capture your editing rationale and articulate your decisions clearly in both written and verbal formats
• Continuously optimize project workflows, ensuring efficiency and high production value at every stage
• Troubleshoot technical or creative challenges as they arise, proactively documenting your approach

You bring

• Advanced expertise in OpenShot or Shotcut, with proven experience completing full projects from start to finish
• This is absolutely essential
• Strong portfolio of video editing work demonstrating your ability to transform raw footage into compelling stories
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on explaining your choices and workflow
• Ability to organize, manage, and optimize large sets of digital assets and timelines
• Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
• Comfort working independently in a remote, distributed environment

Bonus

• Experience teaching or mentoring others in video editing tools or workflows
