Day-to-day

• Manage the end-to-end technology transfer process, from invention disclosure to patent filing, licensing, and commercialization
• Interface with principal investigators, university TTOs, and federal lab scientists to assess market potential and commercial pathways for new technologies
• Evaluate intellectual property portfolios and negotiate licensing agreements with startups, SMEs, and industry partners
• Maintain rigorous compliance with Bayh-Dole Act guidelines, ensuring timely reporting and proper documentation of federally funded inventions
• Coordinate with legal counsel to secure and protect intellectual property rights
• Draft and review all necessary compliance reports, contracts, and technology transfer documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders through high-quality written and verbal channels, ensuring information is accessible and actionable

You bring

• Proven track record managing technology transfer pipelines at universities or federal labs, specifically from federally funded research
• In-depth understanding of licensing processes and negotiation strategies
• Direct experience with Bayh-Dole Act compliance and federal reporting
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated expertise in intellectual property management, particularly in academic or government settings
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in compliance documentation
• Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
