Position Title Consecutive Interpreter – Portuguese (Brazil) / LATAM Spanish to English (Finance Domain) Project Type Contract – 2 Months (Full-time, Time-bound Transition Project) Project Overview We are looking for experienced consecutive interpreters to support a finance and accounting transition project for an international school business moving operations from Brazil and LATAM to India. The role requires the interpreter to join live transition / knowledge transfer sessions, understand the content in Portuguese (Brazil) and LATAM Spanish, and subsequently interpret, explain, and transfer the knowledge in English to the India team. This is a business-critical transition assignment, requiring strong language expertise, finance domain knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Languages Required Portuguese (Brazil) → English

LATAM Spanish → English

Preferred: Native speakers in Portuguese (Brazil) and/or LATAM Spanish

Also acceptable: Non-native linguists with strong finance/accounting interpretation experience Domain Requirement Candidates must have prior experience in Finance & Accounting interpretation / business transition support, specifically in areas such as:

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Accounts Payable (AP)

General Accounting

Journal Entries

Reconciliations

Financial Reporting

Month-end activities

School / education finance processes (preferred)

Shared services / transition projects

Key Responsibilities

Attend online transition sessions with client trainers from Brazil / LATAM

Listen to finance process training sessions delivered in Portuguese and Spanish

Provide consecutive interpretation after each completed session

Explain the full session content in clear English to the India operations team

Support query clarification through chat with client trainers during live sessions

Maintain accuracy of finance and accounting terminology

Prepare English documentation / KT notes / summaries for transitioned topics

Assist the India team in understanding process nuances, workflow, controls, and terminology

Capture open questions and coordinate clarification with client in subsequent sessions

Ensure smooth communication flow between LATAM trainers and India finance teams

Work Model & Availability

Start Date: Monday, 6th April

Duration: 2 months

Work Hours: 6–8 hours per day

Availability: Must be available for the full 8-hour shift when required

Time Zone: Must support LATAM business hours

Mode: Remote / Online

Project Nature: Dedicated transition support Language Skills

Native or near-native fluency in:

Portuguese (Brazil)

LATAM Spanish

English

Excellent listening, comprehension, and explanation skills

Strong business communication capability

Functional Skills

Finance & accounting terminology expertise

Prior interpretation in business/finance transition projects

Experience in consecutive interpretation

Ability to create clear English process notes

Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, chat-based support)
